Soap Migration
When was the last time you went to wash your hands and there was no
hand soap? In ancient times people used a bar of soap to wash their
hands, and then someone realized that all the nasty dirt, germs and
snot from the previous person was being rubbed into your hands when
you used the communal bar of soap. Some genius came up hand pump soap.
It is now everywhere, only Europeans use bar soap for their hands.
So why is this such an issue in my house? My wife looked at me like I
was crazy when I asked her to buy 4 things of hand soap. She likes to
keep the soap in the bathtub and I guess she either doesn't wash her
hands or actually gets it out of the bathtub and then replaces it when
she is done.
I finally made her cave in and she bought 3 hand soap things... It
wasn't the four I requested, but I was happy. The problem is she is
not capable of breaking herself of old habits. Each morning I follow a
routine. I start by washing my hands. Each morning the hand soap is
gone. Where is it? Well it is in the bathtub, right next to the bar of
soap. WTF???
I think my wife is trying to make me lose my mind. I think she does
these things to see how long it takes before I scream or throw
something. I won't let her win, I won't mention it... Instead I will
fight fire with fire. From now on I am going to start moving her
dandruff shampoo under the kitchen sink from time to time. That'll
teach her.
