Sleep is important. If you don't sleep enough, you'll eventually start to hallucinate during the waking hours. Zule is basically there. I am not far behind. Our son does not want to go to sleep until midnight if he's had a nap, or 11 p.m. if he has not had a nap. Then, at 5 am the fucking birds that live in my air conditioning unit in my window in my bedroom take off with happy little chirps. If we try to nap during the day, forty eight phone calls come through. I did manage to sleep last night, but Zule, poor thing, is beyond tired. I think if this continues, Zule and I are going to have to get a duplicate replicant house, without kids and birds and phones, where we take turns sleeping.
Last night's sleep pattern:
7-8 p.m. I sleep because of horrific headache
10:30, I get my son to sleep in his bed, and go check emails, write down fairytale I made up for my son, and then go to bed.
1 a.m. Have wierd dream that child is escaping house. Realize, its real! Sweatone had woken up and was looking for us. Where better for him to look than outside? Luckily Zule had heard him trying to open the door to the outside and was on it.
1:30 am. Allow child to go get his chocolate milk downstairs. The pitter patter of tiny feet prowling about wakes Zule back up.
2:00 a.m. Sweatone and me fall asleep for good.
I don't think Zule ever slept.
