Coffee
Apparently, my grandfather is very strange. My mom was detailing the more odd behaviors her dad has taken to lately. For example, he drives out on the farm in his car and sits and watches my uncle, (his youngest son) work on the farm. He sits in the car with the engine running and the air conditioning on. If my uncle goes on vacation, my pappaw complains he has nothing to do. (He has digistar cable. I would think even the History Channel is more interesting than watching someone farm.)
In other wierdness, all the brothers and sisters take on different tasks that my grandma (who passed away 9 years ago) used to do. My uncle (not the one under constant surveillance, but another uncle) goes down and makes him coffee every morning and in the words of my mother "I suppose to make sure he's still alive." This struck me as surreal. I mean what if Uncle Mike fucks up and makes the coffee first before checking. That coffee won't be necessary. No wonder my mom barely talks to her family members.
