If you had any brains you'd get them out and play with them

Whenever I did something stupid while growing up, my dad would always say that to me. At the time, it hurt my feelings, now, I think he might be right.
This morning I woke up a little late, but I was determined to look better than I did  yesterday where I just showered and ran to class in some sweat pants. I put on some makeup this morning, flat ironed the frizz out of my hair. I also packed my school laptop bag with all the essentials I would need for the day. One laptop, two books, a lean cuisine, two slightly old bananas that really need eaten and my umbrella. I then got my son dressed, which is a battle, pot-tarted him, and put him in the car and took him to preschool. I was in a huge hurry b/c if I don't get to school by 9:30, there is no place to park.
I get to school right on schedule, and bam, I take one of the last five spots. Feeling jubilant, and especially proud that I remembered to put my umbrella in my bag, (it was starting to drizzle), I reach for my laptop bag, which is nowhere to be found. As well packed as it is, its at my house.
So I'll be slogging around with no books, no laptop and no umbrella today. I can't even go over to the library to get food until it stops raining. Of course, being me, I'm wearing a nearly translucent white shirt. I can't go out in the rain in that.

GRRRRRR.
