Ha!
I woke up this morning, and my son had filled his older sister's shoes with ball bearings from his magnetix set. He had mentioned something last nite about an invention to make Dbot fall down, but i was not really listening.
Those two hate each other. I thought, having them ten years apart would lead to their being less rivalry prone. Nope. They fight like cats and dogs. I suppose there is a deep core of love there, but it's hidden under intense, pathological competition for resources. I was thinking about it, and really sibling rivalry makes sense from an evolutionary perspective, if you can get rid of the competition, there is more parental resources for the one left standing. It's still really annoying. Dbot is mad b/c I did not have a girl. Seaton is mad that there is this pseudo adult trotting around with hand held electronic devices he cannot play with who yells at him.
Meanwhile, the cat, my middle child, looks on all with deep despair. I think he hopes that the little one will go, so he can have his mom back to sleep on. Until then, he uses a set of sterlite storage boxes Dbot erected as stairs to jump up into Dbot's loft bed where he hides from the baby. Its like watching Jabba the Hut jump.
